The TATEKU Group GmbH, based in Austria, is a modern investment company with a focus on the entire value chain of Forestry and timber industry. Founded in December 2024, the company consistently focuses on technology-oriented innovations, long-term value creation and responsible corporate governance (ESG).

The name "Tateku"inspired by the Japanese and meaning "to build something from the ground up", reflects the Group's central mission statement: Develop innovative and economically viable solutions.

With TATEKU Innovation, an internal incubator, the group is fostering technological developments that optimise the entire value chain. The focus is on both increasing efficiency and optimising the use of resources in order to reduce our impact on the European forestry and timber industry to contribute. Another important step was the founding of the subsidiary company CR-Systems GmbH in December 2024.

The holistic strategy of the TATEKU Group comprises existing and planned subsidiaries along the entire value chain - from Smart Planting and forestry through to wood processing and material utilisation of biogenic by-products. In close cooperation with strong partners the company is developing new approaches for the forestry and timber industry.

The CR-Systems GmbH Is our research arm focusing on biochar finished? Pyrolysis plants on an industrial scale. This technology enables the Refining biogenic residues in valuable Secondary raw materials like Biochar, Bioliquids and Pyrolysis gas – an innovation for a sustainable circular economy. With this, the subsidiary of the TATEKU Group is contributing to the utilisation of biogenic raw materials.

Carbon Removal Systems

Through the controlled pyrolysis process biogenic residues from the Agriculture, forestry and timber industry into three high-quality products under high temperatures:

  • Green Carbon (biogenic carbon): A sustainable raw material with a wide range of applications - from agriculture (soil improvement, CO₂ storage) to industrial applications in the construction sector, filtration and metallurgy, as well as in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries
  • Bioliquids (pyrolysis oil): A biogenic alternative to fossil raw materials that is particularly suitable for the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and offers a climate-friendly option for the aviation industry. There are further applications in the chemical industry, which are currently being intensively researched
  • Pyrolysis gas: An energy-rich gas mixture for industrial applications. In the future, it can also be used to Hydrogen be won.
